about me

My name is Lucy. LEGAL (and no I won't buy you alcohol because it tastes horrible!) I watch about 19 television shows (dexter, how i met your mother, the office, csi, psych, modern family, glee, desperate housewives, grey's anatomy, private practice, burn notice, royal pains, entourage, drop dead diva, bones, 30 rock, make it or break it, gossip girl, and chuck). Yeup, count them and weep. I'm a neurobiology major at an University of California. I love Star Wars and Back to the Future. I hate fakers and flakers more than anything in the world. I know the lyrics to all the Britney Spears songs. Above all, trashy, electro pop music really makes my day for instance music by my girl, Ke$ha. Otherwise I like music of the alternative, indie rock persuasion. My retouched photo of Shanelle was published by The Source magazine last year. I believe Pinkberry > Yogurtland. My favorite food is ice cream. I'm an huge Apple convert for I work on a Macbook and text on an iPhone. My favorite places in the world are Shanghai, China and Disneyland. I have once racked up a 6 hour phone conversation. Don't ask. I won't be the coolest person you meet online, and I won't try to impress you at all. None of this would have been possible without Kyle.

favorite movie

Back to the Future . Hands down. Best freaking movie I have ever seen. I don't even need to explain it's epicness. Back to the Future is still ahead of our time. And Christopher Lloyd? He's genius.

favorite books

Cannery Row by John Steinbeck and The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Steinbeck is reminiscent, while Fitzgerald is eloquent. Both tell stories about tragedy and love simultaneously. It's hard not to feel for the characters.

quotes

"You know the reason The Beatles made it so big? 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand.' First single. Fucking brilliant. Perhaps the most fucking brilliant song ever written. Because they nailed it. That's what everyone wants. Not 24/7 hot wet sex. Not a marriage that lasts a hundred years. Not a Porsche or a blow job or a million-dollar crib. No. They wanna hold your hand. They have such a feeling that they can't hide. Every single successful love song of the past fifty years can be traced back to 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand'" - Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist
"Reason is the slave of passion, you know." - Crime and Punishment, Fyodor Dostoevsky
"Show me a hero and I'll write you a tragedy." - F. Scott Fitzgerald
"Those who stand for nothing fall for anything." - Alexander Hamilton
